Finding shelter and combating hunger are every-day issues in Great Falls. The H.O.M.E. task force was established to address those issues and provide for resources community wide. |
Vision
No person in this area, with a valid need, will be without a bed at night or go to bed hungry.
Goals

Facilitating and coordinating responses and resources from the community to those needing assistance and care.

Assist and educate individuals to achieve self-reliance in line with abilities and preferences.
Methods

Provide emergency, short-term shelter for those without because other shelters are at capacity and persons will otherwise qualify for Rescue Mission residence.

Provide food or meals to those who cannot get to the Rescue Mission or to relieve / expand Mission services.

Facilitate and marshal community responses to longer term needs for assistance beyond basic needs but not yet self-reliant.

“Intake Documents” will be prepared for each person to determine basic need, longer term needs, and assist with a coordinated responses to these issues.

Assist persons by directing them to appropriate resources, possible employment, and educational opportunities.
